031122 New Windsor vs Minisink Valley Silver
- Divsion 1 Eagles Super Bowl Champs.
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 Football Team won the Super Bowl at West Point Saturday November 22, defeating Minisink 24-6 to become the Super Bowl Champions of 2003. The Eagles completed their season with a perfect 11-0 record leaving no doubt once and for all who is the best of the best with their convincing win over Minisink. All year opposing teams claimed the Eagles weren't really that good, but after 11 games nobody could put New Windsor on the losing side of a game. A combination of 5 excellent runners every game left teams to key on one or two people for games allowing running room for the other backs.
- The Eagles opened the game on defense as usual, Minisink came out fast, busting off a 60-yard TD run on the third play from scrimmage. Minisink had very fast backs, probably the best backs the Eagles faced all season. Minisink now had a 6-0 lead, then the Eagles got stopped on downs at the Minisink 3-yard line, Minisink again broke into the open field to get to the Eagles 40-yard line. With the Eagles down 6-0 and the Eagle defense not adjusting to the Minisink speed, it appeared the Eagles were headed where no team had took them before. Then when Minisink tried to go up by two touchdowns and heaved a bomb downfield, Middle Linebacker Mikal Myers was there with the interception.
- From here on the game was like a blur for Minisink, spurred by Team Captain Myers, the defense would not allow another drive or anything close to a first down the rest of the game. It was felt that the Minisink backs could not take the pounding of the Eagle defense over 4 quarters and by the middle of the second the Minisink backs wanted no part of the physical Eagle defense. Always taught to do their talking on the field and not in pre-game warm-ups, every Eagle got a piece of the cornbread with bone crunching hits on the running backs. DE Anthony Petutis and DE James May, the key to stopping the power sweep of Minisink took on the TE's and blocking backs out of the backfield to slow plays down allowing for the linebackers and penetrating line to catch up to the play. On one particular play Petutis found himself on an island with 3 men blocking him, he held his ground despite only weighing 78 lbs. and forced a tackle for a loss. That's why he is the best DE in Divsion 1 this year. The Eagles pride themselves on wearing the opponent down and breaking their will to play, the defensive line did just that as the game wore on. DG Jon Miller, DG Ramon Rodriguez, DT Jason McAllister, DT Brent Ulrich, DT Brett Ayers, DT Martin Espinol, DT Daniel Maceda, DT George Sidiropolous, DT Kevin Wood and DT Kamaree Coard were unstoppable on the defensive line as they smelled the self doubt in the Minsink line. Mad at themselves about being out of position to make the plays on the running backs at the start of the game, the linebackers were just plain nasty after the second long run by Minisink. The All-Pro Linebackers are MLB Mikal Myers, OLB Joe Miller, OLB Shivaughn Wiggins, ILB Uriah Clarke, and ILB Alex Hansen.
- The offense opened the game strong getting down to the Minsink 3-yard line by an incredible 55-yard run by QB James May IV, but were unable to punch the ball into the end zone. The last 3 games star RB Shivaughn Wiggins had quiet games, therefore as Minsink had scouted the Eagles the past two games they were totally unprepared for the ankle breaking, tackle busting and game breaking speed of Wiggins. With Minisink keying on QB James May IV, and RB Joe Miller, Wiggins was workhorse carrying the ball 19 times for 230 yards. In the second quarter Wiggins took it to the house twice to give the Eagles a 12-6 lead and leave the Minisink coaches and players stunned as they had not counted on Wiggins running all over the field on the very quick turf. A critical error for Minisink by not accounting for Wiggins game breaking running ability. Deep into the third quarter with Wiggins having his way with the Minisink defense, the Eagles faced another major crossroad in the game, holding on to a 12-6 lead and the ball on the Minsink 3-yard line again and facing another 4th down the Eagle drove the nail into the coffin turning to QB Anthony Petutis who was having the game of his life on defense as we know. QB Petutis made an incredible fake to the deep back in the I-Formation Dive Right and headed for the left side cone in the end zone, with the DE trying to close and the linebacker coming up to cut him off, Petutis brought the crowd to its feet as he beat both men to the end zone as the he gave the Eagles the game clinching TD that would make Minisink lose all hope. When the offense came back out after another defensive stop, Minisink, shelled shocked from the Petutis run, Wiggins once again made Minsink pay for not giving him his proper respect and busted off a 40-yard TD run that sent the crowd into singing of "We are the Champions". With the score 24-6 the Eagle would get the ball back one more time and take their usual victory knee.
- Head Coach Ray Miller would like to thank his staff for being the best in the game, and making his life easier by being a TEAM and supporting one another the way we taught the kids to do. Defensive Coach John Ulrich brought the fire and enthusiasm that I thought he could bring, and took the time out to learn the defensive scheme to become an excellent coach of football. He inspired those kids to allow only 4 TD's in 11 games, but even more importantly never allowed more than one in a game, he is my best friend and I'm so happy he was with me for the dream of a lifetime coaching these kids. James May III in charge of breaking down the offense of the opposing team while also breaking down the defense of the opponent to fix the offensive problems when they occur was as good as they get. It was my first year knowing Jim, but I knew when I met him at that summer camp at Mt. Airy he was going to be a great coach and a great friend. John Petutis another great friend and my neighbor had the job of making sure every kid got a certain amount of plays, and although it doesn't sound difficult or hard, it is very important and can lead to a forfeit of a game if not properly done. Knowing this is his job and its up to him to make sure its done he took control and I never had to even think about it during the game until he said at some point everyone had the proper amount of plays, just play who you need out there. My motivator to get these kids whipped into shape in August is Don Ayers to learn those splits, 3-point stance, straight line, firing off line and all the basics of the game is my right hand man since Mighty Mites and as important as anybody in getting these players in the right frame of mind. And lastly but not least is Norman Coard he came in for the last 6 games as a coach, learning the game from the people around him, since he was a champion winning coach in basketball for many years, was very effective getting the kids who weren't starting to get better to where they could try to take a starters position, a new friend but a good one.
- I look forward to all of us working together to put New Windsor as the crown jewel of football in Orange County as we go on to try win the Super Bowl the next 3 years in a row with this group of kids. I would like to say this is the best group of parents I ever coached for and thank you for the awesome show of support you gave us.
- I would also like to thank the New Windsor Cheerleaders who cheered us to victory 11 times and were definitely the best cheerleaders in Orange County this year. To the Eagle football team you're the best, now you can say that and don't let anybody tell you any different, we came, we saw, we conquered everybody in our path, for the rest of your life we are the SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS, something not everyone can say. Enjoy it because August 1st 2004 I'm going to be all over you again to become the Super Bowl Champs again. I love you all. Sincerely, Coach Ray.
031116 New Windsor vs Cornwall Green
- Division 1 Eagles going to the Super Bowl.
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 Football Team advanced to the Super Bowl by beating Cornwall 33-0 Sunday November 16th at Mt. Airy Sports Complex. The Eagles now stand at a perfect 10-0 record entering the final game of the season at West Point.
- The offense which struggled last week came out firing on all cylinders against Cornwall going up 20-0 in the first quarter. RB Shivaughn Wiggins was very difficult to contain breaking several long runs. RB Joe Miller opened up the scoring with a 25-yard run to put the Eagles on top 6-0. Miller TD run seemed to fuel the Eagles who just manhandled the Cornwall defense after his TD.
- QB James May IV had a career day scoring 3 TD's. May was a man on a mission who looked unstoppable as he cut the defense up into pieces. RB Mikal Myers finished off the scoring with a 60-yard run. Myers who usually enters the game in the second half is a 120 lb. Man-child who is virtually unstoppable, he punishes the defense into submission leaving no doubt who is the man. The offensive line played a flawless game opening holes against Cornwall.
- The Offensive Lineman are Jason McAllister, Alex Hansen, James May IV, Brett Ayers, Mikal Myers, Uriah Clarke, Jon Miller, along with Flankers Brent Ulrich and Kevin Wood.
- Defense is how championships are won and the Eagles believe in this golden rule. The Eagles have now allowed only 3 TD's in 10 games, an amazing stat. Running the ball at this level is the key to the game and there is no reason to believe any group of 8 and 9 year olds can move the ball on this 85' Bears like defense.
- DE Anthony Petutis and DE James May IV control all sweeps and clog up the lead blockers exactly the way its supposed to be done. DT Brent Ulrich, DT Brett Ayers, DG Jon Miller, and DG Jason McAllister get too much penetration for any team to run effectively.
- The heart of the defense is the LB's as they flow to the ball like no others in the game. LB Uriah Clarke expected to sit the game due to a sprain ankle pulled a Willis Reed showing up at the field in uniform ready to play, pumping the Eagles up. Tough Kid. Period.
- MLB Mikal Myers leads the group in tackles and this game he was his usual self, putting punishing hits on the running backs from Cornwall. LB Joe Miller, LB Uriah Clarke, LB Alex Hansen, and LB Shivaughn Wiggins provided the necessary containment to stuff all running lanes.
- Around the second quarter the second team defense entered the game, hungry like a pack of wild dogs, to get a piece of Cornwall. Tackles Ramon Rodriguez, George Sidiropolous, Kamaree Coard, Daniel Maceda, and Martin Espinol all got a piece of the cornbread when they entered the game.
- As usual the Eagle Cheerleaders were superb during their halftime show and cheered the Eagles to West Point. The Eagles face Minisink Silver in the Super Bowl, Saturday at noon, November 22, at Shea Stadium, West Point.
031109 New Windsor vs Warwick White
- New Windsor Eagles advance to Conference Championship.
- The New Windsor Eagles beat Warwick 7-6 Sunday November 9th at Mt. Airy Sports Complex to advance to the conference championship game. Warwick played an outstanding game against the unbeaten Eagles who stand at 9-0.
- The Eagles for the first time this season were shut out in the first half and were losing the game 6-0 to Warwick. As usually the Eagle defense gave the Eagles a chance to win, shutting out Warwick in the second half. Defensive lineman Anthony Petutis, Brett Ayers, Jason McAllister, Jon Miller, Brent Ulrich, and James May IV played a great game forcing Warwick into 2nd and 3rd long situations. The linebackers although allowing a rare touchdown got their act together and suffocated the Warwick running game in the second half. MLB Mikal Myers usually gets the other LB's fired up and today was no different. Myers was all over the field crushing plays inside and outside. His partners in crushing the running backs are Uriah Clarke, Alex Hansen, Joe Miller, and Shivaughn Wiggins. The defensive line is rotated to keep a fresh man on the opposing team and there is no dropoff when George Sidiropolous, Karmaree Coard, Ramon Rodriguez, Daniel Maceda and Martin Espinol enter the game.
- Warwick was playing the Eagles for the second time this season and played an outstanding game slowing down the powerful RB combination of Shivaughn Wiggins and Joe Miller. Shutout in the first half and receiving the ball at the start of the third quarter the Eagles continued to struggle on offense the first two plays of the third quarter. With the game on the line and the Eagles backs against the wall like no other time this season, the Eagles needed a big play. Like an angel from heaven came QB James May IV, taking a QB dive into the line and turning it into 63-yard run to bring the Eagles back from the dead and converting an extra point to give the Eagles a 7-6 lead they would not relinquish. Pumped up from the score the Eagles would not allow a score now that they had the lead. Although the Eagles did not score they had a few long drives down into the redzone that ate up a lot of clock time and kept the ball out of Warwick offensive hands. Flanker Kevin Wood and Brent Ulrich had several outstanding blocks downfield to move the chains for the Eagles.
- The Eagle Cheerleaders did an excellent job considering how cold it was to cheer the Eagles to victory. The Eagles next game is November 16, at Mt. Airy Sports Complex, New Windsor, at 1pm against Cornwall Green.
031026 New Windsor vs Cornwall White
- Division 1 Eagles finish regular season undefeated.
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 beat Cornwall 19-0 at Cornwall October 26. The Eagles completed the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record and advance to the playoffs as the #1 seed. It has been an incredible season for the Eagles scoring 229 points while allowing only 13 points, opponents have gained 197 yards for an average of only 1.7 yards per play.
- The offense started out slow with Cornwall keying on star RB Shivaugh Wiggins. QB James May IV stepped up big time taking over the offense and scored on touchdown runs of 30 and 25 yards. RB Joe Miller hammered the Cornwall defense inside gaining key first downs along with RB Shivaugh Wiggins. QB Anthony Petutis scored on a quarterback dive from the one to complete the scoring. May seeing his first action of the season with the first team took full advantage of his opportunity with his game breaking TD runs to put the Eagles ahead in a very tough game. Offensive lineman Jon Miller, George Sidiropolous, Mikal Myers, Brett Ayers, Alex Hansen, Uriah Clarke and Jason McAllister opened holes in the stingy Cornwall defense to move the chains for the Eagles. Flankers Kevin Wood and Brent Ulrich provided the downfield blocking necessary to get the running backs past the secondary.
- Defense is how games are won and lost and the Eagles are taught this from August on by the excellent coaching staff. Toughness, heart and fair play are drilled into them and it shows on the field. Cornwall had a very good passing attack, but was unable to get into the end zone despite completing a couple of long passes for good yardage. Everytime the Eagle defense stiffened, and shut down the Cornwall offense with numerous sacks of the quarterback. DG Jon Miller and DE Anthony Petutis were all over the quarterback and the entire defense refused to allow Cornwall into the end zone. All-Pro MLB Mikal Myers was all over the field running down pass plays that could have went for touchdowns. The other All-Pro Linebackers are Joe Miller, Uriah Clarke, Alex Hansen and Shivaughn Wiggins, as a group they are almost impossible to run on, leaving a team only one option, to throw hail marys. The defensive line is as good as they come in All-Pro Lineman Anthony Petutis, Brett Ayers, Jon Miller, Jason McAllister, Brent Ulrich and James May IV. Defensive Lineman Martin Espinol, Daniel Maceda, Ramon Rodriguez, and Kamaree Coard spell the starters and there is no drop-off when they enter the game.
- The Cheerleaders have done an excellent job supporting their Eagles this season and look forward to helping them all the way to the Super Bowl in West Point. At the time of this article the playoffs are not set, but the first game will be at home for the Eagles at Mt. Airy Sports Complex on November 8th or 9th against Warwick. Please come support this Iron Man team of 19 players, and help them achieve the dream of making the Super Bowl at West Point November 22nd.
031019 New Windsor vs Warwick White
- Division 1 Eagles remain undefeated, now 7-0.
- The New Windsor Eagles defeated Warwick 19-0 on Sunday, October 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Warwick. The Eagles were facing a Warwick team that was 5-1, definitely their toughest game to date and the Eagle defense played the hard nosed defense they were taught. Due to an injury to star lineman Semaj Reed changes had to made, DG Jon Miller played like a man possessed, crushing the center and guard and making tackles inside and out, leading to MLB Mikal Myers making NFL type hits on the huge running backs from Warwick. On one particular play after Warwick had a long run, backed up on their own fifteen MLB Mikal Myers put a punishing hit on the running back and OLB Shivaughn Wiggins recovering the fumble, to stop the last threat Warwick would make the rest of the game. The Eagle defense using the mentality that if you can't score on us, you can't win; shut down the vaunted big back offense of Warwick. The linebackers of the Eagles are allowed to roam free due to the outstanding pressure the defensive line puts on the offense. DE Anthony Petutis, DE James May IV, DT Alex Hansen, DT Brent Ulrich, DG Jon Miller, DG Jason McAllister are the starters who bring the pain. Backup lineman Martin Espinol, Brad Golden, Daniel Maceda, Ramon Rodriguez, and Kamaree Coard spell the starters and get their share of the cornbread when inserted into the game. The All-Pro Linebackers are OLB Shivaughn Wiggins, ILB Uriah Clarke, MLB Mikal Myers, ILB Alex Hansen, and OLB Joe Miller. ILB Alex Hansen playing his first game in his new position performed like a star, proving that size doesn't matter tackling running backs much larger than himself.
- The offense was paced by the offensive line and the flankers who make excellent blocks downfield. Offensive lineman Jason McAllister, Alex Hansen, Mikal Myers, Brett Ayers, James May IV, George Sidiropolous, and Jon Miller blew the Warwick line off the ball. Flankers Brent Ulrich and Kevin Wood block downfield like no receivers in the game. The Eagles who play smash mouth football don't trick anybody, just line it up and try to stop it if you can. The offense has definitely adopted the defense's style of play. Offensive lineman George Sidiropolous in particular played an incredible game, George a first year player came into the game when one of the starters needed a break, well we couldn't take him out after that, he man-handled the tackle lined up over him using his compact-build to drive the Warwick player off the ball. Looks like George has clicked and will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming weeks. RB Shivaughn Wiggins ran for 2 TD's and RB Joe Miller hammered out 1 TD ramming the ball into the heart of the Warwick defense.
- New Windsor looks to finish off the season with a perfect 8-0 record and #1 seed in the playoffs, but to do it they must beat Cornwall Sunday, October 26, in Cornwall. The Cheerleaders did an excellent job in Warwick cheering the Eagles to victory.
031012 - New Windsor vs Minisink Valley Green
- Division 1 Eagles cruise to 6-0.
- The New Windsor Eagles beat the Minisink Warriors on Sunday October 12, 38-7 at the Mt. Airy Sports Complex. Minisink had a very good passing game which caused some confusion for the Eagles who allowed only their second TD of the season (a remarkable feat!). The Eagles are now undefeated in six games with two remaining before the playoffs start.
- RB Shivaughn Wiggins was a one man wrecking crew, scoring an incredible 4 TD's. With RB Joe Miller providing the inside running to keep the Minisink defense honest, Wiggins was like Gale Sayers in his record 4 TD game. Wiggins had three TD runs at RB leaving Minisink players on the ground all over the field, as he broke their ankles running into the end zone. Wiggins fourth touchdown was another masterpiece as he had a 60 yard interception return. RB Joe Miller definitely had the hit of the year and if anybody had it on tape they should send it to NFL films. The Offensive Line was huge, opening gaping holes, they are Jason McAllister, Uriah Clarke, James May IV, Brett Ayers, Mikal Myers, Alex Hansen, Jon Miller, and Flankers Brent Ulrich and Kevin Wood. QB James May IV added another touchdown on a fake sweep, QB keeper for a 50 yard score, breaking four tackles on his way to the end zone.
- Though the pass defense was a little confused the run defense was not, the Eagles playing their first game without star lineman Semaj Reed had to rise to the challenge of replacing the All-Pro DG Reed, by playing several lineman to keep them fresh. Defensive Guards Brett Ayers, Ramon Rodriguez, Jason McAllister, George Sidiropolous, Martin Espinol, and Karmaree Wood filled the void created by losing the man-child Reed. The Defensive Ends Anthony Petutis and James May IV, let no one get outside of them. The Eagles Linebackers probably the best in the business when clicking provided bone crunching hits throughout are MLB Mikal Myers, ILB Jon Miller, ILB Uriah Clarke, OLB Shivaughn Wiggins, and OLB Joe Miller. ILB Uriah Clarke brought the crowd to its feet with a interception return to the Minisink 2 yard line.
- The Eagles Cheerleaders were excellent and the football team gave them plenty to cheer about. The Eagles travel to Warwick, Sunday, October 19th at 3:00pm to face their toughest opponent to date and try to run their league leading record to 7-0.
031005 - New Windsor vs Wallkill LP
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 Football Team beat Wallkill LP 25-0 Sunday, October 5, at Wallkill Senior High School. The Eagles are a perfect 5-0 with 3 games remaining before the playoff's start. They have rolled over everyone in their path, averaging 30 points per game, and have only given up one touchdown in the five games played. Wallkill managed as most teams do only one first down the entire game. Defensive Lineman Semaj Reed, Jason McAllister, Alex Hansen, Brent Ulrich, Jimmy May, and Anthony Petutis set the tone for the game. Then linemen Kamaree Coard, Kevin Wood, George Sidiropolous, Ramon Rodriguez, Daniel Maceda, Brad Golden, and Martin Espinol enter the game to show the other team it doesn't matter who's rushing in, it's going to be a long day. The five heavy hitting linebackers are Mikal Myers, Jon Miller, Uriah Clarke, Shivaughn Wiggins, and Joe Miller. Every week it seems a different linebacker stands out among the rest and this week it was no different. LB Uriah Clarke had several outstanding tackles, almost like a lion he zeroed in on his prey and exploded into the opposing running backs sending them to the sidelines for smelling salts.
- The offense was lethal led by RB Semaj Reed who had one touchdown and several outstanding runs, stiff arming, running over and around Wallkill defenders. RB Joe Miller, RB Shivaughn Wiggins, and RB Ramon Rodriguez added one touchdown apiece. Rodriguez TD run was awesome as he bob and weaved his way through the Wallkill defenders leaving the defenders diving at empty space. RB Miller also known as the Hammer ran through the defense like a hammer hitting a nail. RB Wiggins was his usual self; probably the fastest man on the field, having the type of agility that would make Barry Sanders drool was spectacular in the open field. A bright spot for the Wallkill defense was LB John Gallo, who got his LB training as an Eagle was all over the field and delivering several bone jarring hits. We miss John, who moved from New Windsor this year. On another note, we wish the best to our most gentle giant, and most respectful player, who might have been the nicest kid I have ever coached Semaj Reed, God Bless Him. The cheerleaders did a great job at halftime thrilling the crowd with their breathtaking acrobats. The Eagles next game is October 12, 1:00 pm at Mt Airy Sports Complex in New Windsor.
030928 - New Windsor vs Minisink Valley White
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 Football Team beat Minisink 34-6 on Sunday September 28.
- The Eagles had a rough start playing their first game in heavy rain conditions, turning the ball over five times in the first half The turnovers forced the Eagles to rely on Fullback Joe Miller who had no problem taking the team on his back. Miller, a 100 lb. Fullback, with vice grip like arms held onto the ball and moved the ball downfield at 5 to 10 yard clips, giving the Eagles a 14-6 lead at the half. With the rain slowing and the Eagles adjusting to the climate conditions in the second half it was time for RB Shivaughn Wiggins to explode. Wiggins had a touchdown run and an electrifying 55-yard run fueled by a crushing block by FB Miller that whipped the crowd into a frenzy, as Wiggins ran from one sideline to the other. DG Samaj Reed and QB Anthony Petutis added one touchdown apiece to complete the scoring.
- Its going to be very tough to keep the Eagles contained for four quarters this year the way the offensive line is blocking. Offensive Lineman Jason McAllister, Brett Ayers, Semaj Reed, Jimmy May, Mikal Myers, Uriah Clarke, Jon Miller along with Flanker Brent Ulrich provide punishing blocks that spring the talented backs.
- As always the defense was overpowering which enables the offense to have good field position all game. Although the Eagles gave up their first touchdown of the season the Eagles defense didn't allow a first down after Minisink scored in the first quarter. Defensive Lineman Samaj Reed, Jason McAllister, Brett Ayers. Brent Ulrich, Jimmy May, Anthony Petutis, Daniel Maceda, Ramon Rodriguez, George Sidiropolous. Brad Golden, Kevin Wood and Kamaree Coard controlled the line of scrimmage.
- The Linebackers led by MLB Mikal Myers are rock solid and play like the '86 Giants line backing corps. The other hard-hitting LB's who hit like trucks and run like deer are Joe Miller, Uriah Clarke, Jon Miller, and Shivaughn Wiggins. The Eagles cheerleaders kept the football teams spirit up during the rough start, cheered them to victory. The Eagles look to remain undefeated and run their record to 5-0 as they face Wallkill Sunday, October 5 at 11:00 am at Wallkill.
030921 - New Windsor vs Highland Falls
- New Windsor Eagles Blowout Highland Falls, 36-0.
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 Football Team pushed their record to 3-0 defeating Highland Falls 36-0, Sunday September 21. The Eagles for the season have now outscored their opponents 94-0. Against Highland Falls the Eagles Defense gave up their only first down of the season. No team has even come close to scoring; it's starting to look like the defense may not allow a TD all season. The Eagles came close to playing in the super bowl last season and it appears they intend to make up for last seasons heartbreak. Four different players ran for TD's on Sunday, DG Semaj Reed ran for two scores as did RB Shivaughn Wiggins. QB Anthony Petutis and OG Mikal Myers ran for one apiece. Offensive lineman opened gaping holes, the all pro lineman include TE Jason McAllister, OT Alex Hansen, OG Mikal Myers, Center Jimmy May, OG Semaj Reed, OT Uriah Clarke, TE Jon Miller, and All-World Flanker Brent Ulrich.
- The defense as usual was suffocating; OLB Joe Miller, ILB Uriah Clarke, MLB Mikal Myers, ILB Jon Miller, and OLB Shivaughn Wiggins are very fast and strong. The Defensive linemen are getting too much penetration for an offense to run any play effectively. They are led by DG Semaj Reed, DG Jason McAllister, DT Alex Hansen, DT Brent Ulrich, DE Anthony Petutis and DE Jimmy May. The defensive line is rotated to keep everybody fresh and there is no drop-off when DT Kevin Wood, DT Ramon Rodriguez, GD Martin Espinol, DG Daniel Maceda, DT Brett Ayers, DG Kamaree Coard, and DT George Sidropolous enter the game. The New Windsor Eagles Cheerleaders did a great job cheering the Eagles to Victory in their first game away from home. Next up for the Eagles is Minisink Valley on Sunday, September 28 at 11:00 am at Mt. Airy Sports Complex, New Windsor.
030914 - New Windsor vs Washingtonville Bandits
- The New Windsor Eagles Division 1 shut out Washingtonville 25-0, on Sunday September 14th, at Mt. Airy Sports Complex. It was the Eagles second shut out this season, bringing their record to 2-0. Not only have the Eagles shut out and overwhelmed their first two opponents, the defense has not even allowed a first down either game.
- MLB-Mikal Myers crushes any play that is run in between tackles. OLB-Joe Miller and OLB-Shivaugn Wiggins run down anyone who tries to hit the sideline. Hard hitting ILB's-Jon Miller and Uriah Clarke smash anyone that runs from guard to end better than anyone in the game today. DE-Jimmy May and DE-Anthony Petutis manhandle the tight ends that line up over them forcing teams to double team, but it doesn't help.
- DG-Semaj Reed and DG-Jason McAllister are unstoppable in the middle getting in so quick the QB cant even hand the ball off.
- DT-Brent Ulrich and DT-Alex Hansen are in the backfield so much the other teams think they are in their huddle when they call the play.
- Offensively RB-Shivaughn Wiggins was magnificent, weaving in and out of traffic to score 3 TD's. Wiggins was 8/161 rushing yards.
- DG-Semaj Reed converted to RB in the fourth quarter rumbled 32 yards down to the 3-yard line. The following play Reed punched in another TD from the 3.
- As always expected, the New Windsor Eagles Cheerleaders performed incredibly difficult routines while cheering the Eagles to victory.

The offensive line led by Semaj Reed, Alex Hansen, Jason McAllister, Uriah Clarke, Jon Miller, and Brent Ulrich put punishing blocks on the Giants to open gaping holes in the Giants' defense. QB-Anthony Petutis tacked on the extra points and showed great leadership as the field general.
- The defense only allowed one first down the entire game. DE-Brett Ayers and DE-Kevin Wood shut down all attempts to run to the outside while LB's Brad Golden, Daniel Maceda, Ramon Rodriguez, George Sidiropoulos and Kamaree Coard slammed shut any attempts made to run inside.
- The cheerleaders did a great job of cheering the Eagles to victory, and designed an awesome banner for the team. The Eagles' next game is at Mt. Airy Sports Complex, New Windsor on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 pm against Washingtonville.
