061029 New Windsor vs Newburgh Giants
  • The Division 1 Eagles traveled to Cronomer Park to face the Newburgh Giants in the final game of the season. The game was important to both teams because up to this point of the season they were both tied for second place in the OCYFL Eastern Conference.
  • Defensive Ends Gio Marrero, Chris Mattone, Kobie Thomas, Mike Eichler and Angelo Foster did a great job holding off a fast Newburgh backfield. Linebackers Isaiah Walters and Nick Iannollo had a combined 12 tackles on the day while corners Alex Justi, Kobie Thomas, Chris Decker, Gio Marrero and Angelo Foster did an excellent job containing Newburgh.
  • Newburgh scored a touchdown late in the first half to come ahead 6-0 despite the pressure of the Eagles defensive line lead by Bobby O’Neill, Lucas Donnelan, Clay Deets, Austin Wixon, Ian Mullarkey, Maxx Mckeever, Jerome Mckeever, Shane Forrester and Michael Eichler.
  • With 34 seconds left in the 4th quarter Justin Mitchell broke free to score a touchdown to tie the game 6-6 leaving only one opportunity for the Eagles to win the game. The offensive line lead by guards Isaac Serrano and Jt Shoemaker tackles Vic Santiago and Lavonne Harris and ends Isaiah Walters and Taylor Williams looked upon a determined Newburgh defense awaiting the snap by Sean Hofving. Quarterback Gio Marrero blasted out protected by full back Nick Iannollo, tailback Alex Justi and running back Justin Mitchell to score the game winning extra point to clinch second place in the conference.

061015 New Windsor vs Minisink White
  • The Division 1 Eagles traveled to Minisink High school to face the Division 1 Minisink White team.
  • The game started out one sided as Minisink ran the ball to score a touchdown in the first half of the game. The New Windsor defense held off any other running backs from scoring again for the rest of the game.
  • Tackles were lead by Isaiah Walters with 9 tackles as linebacker. Nick Iannollo, Justin Mitchell, Chris Mattone, Matt Carlone, Lucas Donnellan, Chris Decker, Clay Deets, Mike Eichler, Ian Mullarkey, Kobie Thomas and Angelo Foster had a combined 23 tackles to hold off Minisink.
  • The offense lead by QB Gio Marrero came alive in the 4th Quarter when fullback Nick Iannollo had a 10 yard touchdown run after Maxx Mckeever striped the ball from Minisink. Defense stood proud and strong as Alex Justi intercepted the ball, which then lead to a 67-yard run by running back Justin Mitchell. At the end of the 4th quarter QB Gio Marrero ran a 43-yard touchdown and the Eagles soared to another victory with a score of 19-6.
  • The Eagles cheer squad did a fantastic job entertaining the parents and friends with a great halftime cheer. Special thanks to all the girls and the volunteers that keep our league running throughout the season.

061008 New Windsor vs Bye

061001 New Windsor vs Valley Central Gray
  • Game rescheduled for October 3rd at 7pm, awaiting data from staff.

060924 New Windsor vs Warwick White
  • The New Windsor Eagles traveled to Veterans Memorial Park in Warwick to play the Division 1 Warwick White Wolverines. The defense, lead by linebackers Nick Iannolo and Isaiah Walters, held Warwick to only one touchdown they scored late in the third quarter. Taylor Williams was explosive at defensive end making numerous tackles to keep the opposition from moving ahead, Christopher Mattone and Jerome McKeever also played defensive end for a combined 12 tackles. Alex Justi, Chris Decker, Sean Hofving and Clay Deets played at corner back for a combined 16 tackles. On the Defensive line Bobby O’Niel, Lucas Donnellan, Michel Eichler, Matt Carlone, Maxx McKeever, Ian Mullarkey, Kobie Thomas, and Shane Forrester did an outstanding job putting pressure on a strong Warwick Offense.
  • Teamwork was apparent as linemen Isaac Serrano, Vic Domingues, JT Shoemaker, Lavonne Harris, Isaiah Walters, Austin Wixon, and Taylor Williams held off the fast and powerful Warwick defense. Thanks to their great blocking quarterback Gio Marrero helped lead the Eagles to a 12 – 6 victory over Warwick. Running back Justin Mitchell ran both touchdowns for the Eagles carrying the ball 10 times for 156 yards. Angelo Forster and Nick Iannolo lead all day with strong runs and great blocking to work the ball up field and convert for first downs. Half back Alex Justi had an impressive game as well carrying the ball 6 times for 74 yards to drive the Eagles to their third victory of the season.
  • All of the parents cheered on the players with the help of the Eagles Cheer Squad. The halftime show put on had the players and the crowd ready to go back to work. A special thanks to the girls and coaches for their support all season as the faces and smiles of Amanda O’Niel, Kimberley Rapisarda, Samantha Kempton, Nia Walters, Catlin O’Niel, Gabrielle Alfieri, Nicole Chrysler, Nicole Scheck, Jessica Carlone, Hope Herrera, Shana Hurley, Giavonna Eichler, Mariah Fulco, Kori Piccolo, Jillian White, Lena Diaz, Brianna Schafer, Bridget Martin, Robin Kelly, Brittany Drake and Isabella and Victoria Rodriguez helped drive the Eagles to another victory.

060917 New Windsor vs Cornwall White

  • The Div 1 Cornwall White team visited the New Windsor Eagles at Mt Airy Sports Complex where the Eagles squeaked another win by a score of 13-7.
  • Quarterback Gio Marrero completed a 25-yard pass to Justin Mitchell for the Eagles first touchdown. Victor Domingues dominated on the offensive line to keep the defense back along with Austin Wixon, Taylor Williams, Isaiah Walters, Sean Hofving, Lavone Harris, JT Shoemaker and Issac Serrano. The team of running backs provided great blocks for Justin Mitchell who scored both of New Windsor’s Touchdowns.   • The defense did an excellent job holding a powerful Cornwall offense to one touchdown. Christopher Decker did a fantastic job playing different positions coming up with many tackles. Omari Harris and Matt Carlone played at the corners to keep the quick running backs of Cornwall at a halt. Shane Forrester, Bobby O’Neill, Lucas Donnellan and Max Mckeever played defensive guards to combine for 9 tackles.   • The New Windsor Cheerleading squad did a fantastic job keeping the crowd entertained at halftime. There cheers could be heard across the field as the players fed off their energy. Nicole Scheck, Brianna Schafer, Jillian White, Kimberly Raspisarda, Bridget Martin, Kori Piccalo, Mariah Fulco, Issabella Rodriguez, Victoria Rodriguez and Giavonna Eichler did excellent jobs keeping the Eagles pride strong.

060903 New Windsor vs Minisink Valley Black
  • The Division 1 New Windsor Eagles opened the season at Mt Airy field against a tough Minisink Black team in our first loss of the season.
  • The score was 20 - 0, but the Eagles did a great job holding off their offensive drive. Sean Hofving had an interception and ran the ball back 20 yards trying to reach the end zone.
  • Ian Mullarkey made an impact forcing 2 fumbles and sacking the quarterback, Jerome McKeever, Alex Justi, Clay Deets, Shane Forrester and Max McKeever all made great tackles at corner back trying to hold Minisinks offense.
  • The offensive line men did a great job protecting the quarterback, Isaac Serrano, Jt Shoemaker, Lavone Harris, Taylor Williams, Austin Wixon, and Sean Hofving showed teamwork, leadership and never once gave up at all. The defensive line did excellent penetrating the offense Bobby O'Niel, Matt Carlone, Omari Harris, Ian Mullarkey, Lucas Donnellan, Kobie Thomas, Chris Mattone, and Mike Eichler.
  • The Division 1 Cheerleaders did a fantastic job keeping the fans and the players entertained when they put out a beautiful halftime performance. The smiles and the energetic cheers came from the fans as they took the field led by Robin Kelly, Nicole Chrysler, Nia Walters, Gabrielle Alfieri, Amanda O'Neill, Jessica Carlone and Samantha Kempton.
