  • Division 2 Eagles End In Style.
  • The Division 2 New Windsor Eagles hosted the Valley Central Blue Vikings for their final game of the season. The Vikings quickly let the Eagles know they were putting all the chips on the table. Both teams battled back and forth the entire day with each team's offense mounting several impressive long drives into the other's territory.
  • The Eagle Defense was well tested the entire game; on the Vikings first drive, one that ate up nearly the entire first quarter on 15 plays, the Eagles were able to finally stop the Vikings at their own 7-yard line. Quarterback Brent Ulrich and the Eagle Offensive was ready and answered right back with a 9 play 93-yard drive for the games only score. The balanced drive showed off the talents of leading rushers Jimmy May (419 total yards) and Alex Hansen (347 total yards), which tag-teamed their way down the field behind their Offensive Line, Christopher Placek, Ramon Rodriguez, Kevin Wood, Vincent Maldonado, Raymond Maeang, Uriah Clarke, Brian Henricksen, and Gabriel Toro (114 total receiving yards). May took it in the end zone from 8-yards out and Julian Bell came up just short to add on the extra point. Hansen went on to gain 120 yards and set the single game rushing record for the season. Late season injuries held Tyler Anderson and Patrick Mullins out, but it didn't stop them from supporting their team throughout the game. Click to Enlarge...
  • The next three Viking drives fell short as Jimmy May stole the first one on a fumble recovery, the second was intercepted by Kevin Wood, and on the third Alex Hansen blocked and recovered a punt. The Eagles went on the move again with quick catches and counter running from Kevin Schotsch and Jaime Estrada, but came up just short when they failed to convert a fourth and two on the Viking's 8-yard line. That left it up to the Eagle Defense to hold the Vikings on their final drive. The Eagles leading Linebackers, Jimmy May (8.5 Tackles, 46 for season) and Ramon Rodriguez (5 Tackles, 36 for season), combined with the efforts of the Defensive Line, Brent Ulrich (5 Tackles, 18.5 for season), Kevin Wood (4.5 Tackles), Uriah Clarke (4 Tackles, 23 for season), Gabriel Toro (4 Tackles, 19 for season), Caylin Maldonado (2 Tackles), Tanner Scheible, Brandon Vanleeuwen, Vincent Maldonado, and Julian Bell, and the Defensive Backs, Alex Hansen (3 Tackles, 24 for season), Markell Jones (2 Tackles), and Jaime Estrada (2 Tackles), proved enough to hold the Vikings to a 6-0 final. Despite a demanding and trying season, the Eagle's were able to send off their Head Coach in style with a win as he coached his final game as an Eagle. Click to Enlarge...
  • Head Coach Jim May would like to thank his staff and players for putting out their best effort every week. Defensive Coordinator John Ulrich took the time to learn the defensive scheme and to motivate the defense throughout a demanding schedule. Line Coaches Doug Murphy, Bill White, and Bob Mullins brought a wealth of knowledge to the team and took on the team's largest deficiency and proved to find successful fixes each week. Bob also successfully tackled the toughest job on the sideline, ensuring every player got their play count during each game. Trainer/Statistician Carl Bell consistently recorded each play, as did Videoman Chris Scheible and Photographer Dave Levy. The New Windsor Staff and Chain Gang (Hansen, Maeang, Vanleeuwen) were always ready, willing, and able to support the teams needs. To the parents, the New Windsor Cheerleaders and their Coaches, Robin Armstrong and Michelle Capicotto, who cheered us on the entire season, you were definitely the best in Orange County, thanks… Click to Enlarge...
  • Parents and Players are reminded to complete their paperwork/payment for the Awards Banquet and Souvenir Program by November 13th. Also, don't forget to come out and support the cheerleaders at Cheerfest, November 13th, and D3 and D1 as they start the road to the Superbowl this Sunday, November 6th, at 12:00 and 2:00 pm at Mount Airy Sports Complex. • New Windsor Eagles Division 2 Quarterback and Linebacker, Jimmy May, recently qualified for the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) at Washingtonville Middle School with score of 286 points and later took 1st place at the State Sectional competition at Minisink Valley High School for the 10-11 year old group.
  • The NFL PPK has over 4 million kids between 8 and 15 years old participate annually, they are quickly narrowed down to 160 for each age group at State Sectionals.
  • His 1st place finish in the sectional has led to him being selected to the New York Giants Team where he will compete against 4 others from the Tri-State area for a chance to make it to the National team which takes the top 4 in the country from each age group to the NFL Playoffs for the final round.
  • The Giants Team Competition will be held during the half time at the upcoming Giants & Vikings game on November 13.

051021 New Windsor vs Cornwall Silver
  • Division 2 Eagles Feel the Heat of the Dragons.
  • The Division 2 New Windsor Eagles played a make-up home game against the Cornwall Silver Dragons (4-1) in a hard-hitting battle that was relocated under the lights at Cornwall on Friday night, October 21st, due to inclement weather.
  • The Eagle Offensive Line (Xavier Tinsley, Robert Griffin, Caylin Maldonado, Vincent Maldonado, Tanner Scheible, Raymond Maeang, Brian Henricksen, Brandon Vanleeuwen, and Kevin Wood) showed signs of breakdown before the game even started as they lost two starters (Tyler Anderson and Patrick Mullins) to injuries during the week. The Dragon Defense was on top of their game as they consistently overpowered their way into the backfield most of the game. The Eagles started the game with Ramon Rodriguez at Quarterback, but quickly cycled Brent Ulrich in due to the heavy hitting of the Dragon's. They also held the Eagle starting Running Backs (Uriah Clarke, Markell Jones, Kevin Schotsch, and Christopher Placek) to only a few yards in the entire first half. With poor field position and limited time of possession, the Eagle Offensive was unable to mount any successful attack until late in the four quarter. The Eagle's produced two successful scores on the first plays of their final drives when Jimmy May, 10 carries for 87 yards, found a wide-open left side and ran 65-yards for the touchdown, he also added on the extra point with the same play. On the next series, he hit Gabriel Toro from the spread formation on a 65-yards pass play for the Eagles final efforts. Rookie Freshman Place Kicker, Kevin Schotsch, came up just short on the point after attempt. The offense ended the day with only 162 yards on 31 plays.
  • The Eagle Defense was mesmerized, as they just couldn't get off the field. The Dragon Offense kept them on the field for 50+ plays and managed to collect over 250 yards. The leading tacklers were Linebackers Jimmy May (7.5 Tackles), Uriah Clarke (4.5 Tackles), Ramon Rodriguez (3.5 Tackles), and Brent Ulrich (3 Tackles and 1 Helmet); Defensive Lineman Caylin Maldonado (2 Tackles) and Julian Bell (Fumble Recovery). The Eagle Defensive Backs, Alex Hansen (7 Tackles), Jaime Estrada (4.5 Tackles and an Interception), and Markell Jones (2 Tackles), were very busy as the powerful Dragons seemed to control the trenches most of the day. Final score Cornwall 34, Eagles 13.
  • The Eagles would like to thank the support of their families, friends, and fans as they never gave of hope and fueled Eagles to the very last minute. The Eagles finish up their final game this Sunday, October 23rd, against Valley Central Blue at Mt. Airy Sports Complex at 3:00 pm.

  • Division 2 Eagles Devastated by Wildcats.
  • The Division 2 New Windsor Eagles played the Warwick Purple Wildcats in a devastating game that was relocated at Mt. Airy Sport Complex last Sunday due to inclement weather.
  • The Eagle Defense struggled as they beat themselves up on penalties and just couldn't get off the field as the Wildcats consistently drove them for 46 plays and 2 touchdowns. The leading tacklers were Linebackers Jimmy May (9 Tackles), Brent Ulrich (2.5 Tackles) and Tyler Anderson (2 Tackles), Defensive Lineman Ramon Rodriguez (4.5 Tackles), Kevin Wood (3.5 Tackles & Fumble Recovery) and Brian Henricksen (2.5 Tackles). Cornerbacks Jaime Estrada and Alex Hansen each recovered a loose ball in the end zone and on a punt block. Click to Enlarge...
  • The Eagle's Offensive attempted to debut new Quarterback Ramon Rodriguez and Running back Raymond Maeang, but they suffered from poor field position, lack of consistent blocking on the line, and penalties. The Wildcat Defense was on top of their game as their front five and linebackers manhandled the Eagles and consistently overpowered their way into the backfield on 32 consecutive plays. The Eagles final efforts were expended as they allowed the Wildcats to score on an unanswered punt return for a final 0-18 (Wildcats). Click to Enlarge...
  • Congratulations to Jimmy May for taking 1st place in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) State Sectional last weekend and the opportunity to represent the entire area at Giants Stadium for the championship.
  • The Eagles would like to thank the support of their families, friends, fans and cheerleading crew, led this week by Cheerleaders Anna Bedetti, Theresa Dowd, Kristina Lucchesi and Julianne Scheck. The Eagles schedule continues to challenge them as they play a make-up game against a strong Cornwall Silver (4-1) during the week and finish up their final game against Valley Central Blue at Mt. Airy Sports Complex, this Sunday, October 23rd, at 3:00 pm.

051009 New Windsor vs Cornwall Silver
  • Game rescheduled for October 21st.

051001 New Windsor vs Warwick White
  • Division 2 Eagles Clawed by Wildcats.
  • The Division 2 New Windsor Eagles went on the road last Sunday to face off against the undefeated Warwick White Wildcats, and they quickly learned why the Wildcats are so dominating in the league this year. With a lot of history between these two teams, stemming from the 2003 D1 Playoffs, it was payback time for the Wildcats.
  • The Eagle Defense, which only gave up 2 TD's the entire 2004 regular season, could only hold the Wildcats on their initial drive, which was halted by Uriah Clarke's Interception. The Linebackers, Jimmy May (6.5 Tackles), Uriah Clarke (4.5 Tackles), Ramon Rodriguez (4 Tackles), Brent Ulrich (2 Tackles), led the Eagle effort; but they just couldn't shed off the attacking Wildcat offensive linemen and blocking backs. The Defensive Line, Tyler Anderson, Julian Bell, Justin Fowler, Caylin Maldonado, Vincent Maldonado, Tanner Scheible, Xavier Tinsley, Gabriel Toro, and Brandon Vanleeuwen, merely could not penetrate the rock-solid Wildcat front. The defense, which only has given up 4 TD's on the year, was stunned as they watched the Wildcats repeatedly march down the field for 320+ yards. Courageous efforts were also recorded by the Defensive Backs, Alex Hansen (2.5 Tackles), Jaime Estrada, and Markell Jones, which were well tested all day by the run and pass.
  • The Eagle Offensive Line, Uriah Clarke, Robert Griffin, Brian Henricksen, Raymond Maeang, Patrick Mullins, Christopher Placek, Xavier Tinsley, Gabriel Toro, and Kevin Wood, faced what appeared to be the largest 5-man front and top 4 linebackers in the league. The offensive backfield was pushed to the limit as they quickly used up all three quarterbacks and simply ran out running backs before the first half was over. Despite going deep into the depth charts, the Eagles were able to scrape up nearly 100 yards on the day and debuted a couple of new running backs, Tyler Anderson and Raymond Maeang. Alex Hansen, behind the blocks of Markell Jones, Kevin Schotsch, and Brent Ulrich, led the backs with 45 yards rushing, most of which was made during a strong effort the Eagles mounted early in the second half. Although they drove the Wildcats deep in to their zone on that drive, the Eagles would not get on the board until the next drive when Ramon Rodriguez hit Jaime Estrada on a 40-yard TD pass to make the final score 35-6 (Wildcats).
  • The Eagle's have struggle the past few weeks as they faced the top three teams in the division, but their battle isn't over yet, they return home next week to continue their demanding schedule and take on a strong Cornwall Silver (3-1).
  • The team would like to thank the support of their families, friends, fans and cheerleading crew, led this week by Emily Bonnabeau, Christina Compasso, Gianna Papa, Rebecca Pierri, and Alysa Zarate. They would also like to thank Warwick White for their hardest hitting game of the year, and wish them luck as they prepare for a well deserved road to the Superbowl; a well deserving team. Come out and support the team as they return home this week take on their neighboring rival Cornwall Silver. The Division 2 Eagles next game is at Mt. Airy Sports Complex, this Sunday, October 9th, at 3:00 pm.

  • D2 New Windsor Eagles Soar over Cornwall Dragons.
  • The Division 2 New Windsor Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) soar back to the win column last Sunday, September 25th, at Mt Airy Sports Complex against the Cornwall White Dragons.
  • At the helm of Quarter Back Brent Ulrich, the Eagle Offense mounted two long and impressive 13-play drives. Running Back Jimmy May, 103 yards for the day, opened up the scoring on the first drive with an untouched 5-yard run; running Back Alex Hansen tagged on another 50 yards and a 6-yard touchdown run to start out the second half. The Eagle Offensive Line, Raymond Maeang, Justin Fowler, Patrick Mullins, Kevin Wood, Brian Henricksen, Xavier Tinsley, Gabriel Toro, Robert Griffin, and Christopher Placek, was able to successfully control the clock and drive the Dragons on 44 successful attempts. Again, Justin Fowler produced key deep punts that helped to keep Cornwall deep in their zone and off balanced most of the day. The Eagle passing game also appeared to be back on track as they threw 100 percent for the day, allowing the Eagles to complete two critical third down conversions. Eagle running backs, Jaime Estrada, Markell Jones, and Kevin Schotsch, also helped add to the mix with good running/catching and consistent blocking. Click to Enlarge...
  • The Eagle Defense had slim pickings as the offense ate up the clock most of the day and only allowed the Dragon's to slip in 25 plays. Leading Linebacker Ramon Rodriguez led the defense again, recording 4.5 tackles. The Defensive Line, Xavier Tinsley (Sack), Gabriel Toro (Sack), Kevin Wood (Sack), Tyler Anderson, Julian Bell, Caylin Maldonado, Vincent Maldonado, Tanner Scheible, and Brandon Vanleeuwen, was able to keep pressure on the Dragon Offense all day and allowed the Linebacking crew of Jimmy May (Interception), Uriah Clarke, Justin Fowler, Brian Henricksen, and Brent Ulrich, to operate freely. The Defensive Backs, Alex Hansen (3 Tackles), Markell Jones (TD Saving Tackle), and Jaime Estrada, covered both the run and pass well and helped the Eagle Defense hold the Dragon Offense to only 15 yards in three quarters. The Eagles allowed the shutout to slip from their hands as the Dragons mounted a quick and successful last minute 61-yard final drive to end the game 12-6. Click to Enlarge...
  • The Eagles would like to thank the support of their families, friends, fans and cheerleading crew, led this week by Victoria Carlone, Kalleigh Forrester, Meghan McLaughlin, and Tyler Trifilo. Additionally, the team would like to thank the D2 Cornwall White Team for a well played and near penalty-free game; it was simply a joy to watch. The Eagle's demanding schedule continues as they go back on the road next weekend to match up against undefeated and powerful Warwick White. Come out and support the team as they play under the lights at Warwick's Veteran Memorial Park this Saturday, October 1st, at 6:00 pm.

050918 New Windsor vs Minisink Valley Green
  • Division 2 Eagles Battle Champion Warriors to the End.
  • The Division 2 New Windsor Eagles battled the "2004 Superbowl Champion" Minisink Valley Green Warriors toe-to-toe until the final minutes of the game. Each team's offense mounted impressive first drives (10-plays each) into the others territory, but the intensive defenses would knock each other nearly four and out until late in the game.
  • The Eagle Offensive Line, Raymond Maeang, Patrick Mullins, Kevin Wood, Brian Henricksen, Uriah Clarke, Gabriel Toro and Xavier Tinsley, was able to effectively attack the weak side of the Warriors and push Alex Hansen forward for 89 yards on 16 carries; but they struggled to consistently control the massive Warrior front. The breakdown on the line simply did not allow Eagle quarterback, Jimmy May, and receivers, Jaime Estrada, Christopher Placek, Kevin Schotsch and Brent Ulrich, any time to launch their passing game. Though they struggled, they did connect a critical 45-yard pass that pushed them down to the Warrior 5-yard line; but a critical interference penalty and four back-to-back offside penalties stifled their momentum. Being in the backfield most of the day, the Warriors were also effective in shutting down the speedy Eagle running back Markell Jones.
  • The Eagle Defense held one of the most consistent running offenses to just under 100 yards in nearly 50 attempts. Leading linebacker, Ramon Rodriguez, recorded 9 tackles and was in on 16 total for the day. The Eagle Defense produced a critical fumble recovery, by Hansen, late in the first half; but the offense, plagued by penalties, was unable to cash in on it. With only a few minutes left, the Warriors blocked an Eagle punt and placed the Eagle Defense first and goal. The Eagle Defense held them until fourth down when the Warriors forced in the only score of the game. Despite the blocked punt, Justin Fowler, recorded several key punts over 30 yards each. Valiant efforts were also recorded on defense by Clarke (6 Tackles), Toro (4.5 Tackles), Tyler Anderson and Tinsley (4 Tackles), Hansen and May (3.5 Tackles), Fowler (2 Tackles), Julian Bell, Caylin Maldonado, Vincent Maldonado, and Tanner Scheible. Robert Griffin and Brandon Vanleeuwen continued to support the team throughout the game, they will both return next game.
  • Despite the Eagles current record (1-2), and drawing what could arguably be called the hardest schedule in the division, they have been tested by some of the toughest teams in their division and have still outscored their opponents 26-19. The Eagle's demanding schedule will continue as they still need to match up against four teams from two consistently strong programs (two Cornwall and two Warwick teams).
  • The Eagles would like to thank the support of their families, friends, fans and cheerleading crew, led this week by Anna Bedetti, Theresa Dowd, Kristina Lucchesi and Julianne Scheck. Come out and support the team as they return home this week after their extended road trip to face off against Cornwall White. The Division 2 Eagles next game is at Mt. Airy Sports Complex, this Sunday, September 25th, at 3:00 pm.

050911 New Windsor vs Wallkill Panther Pride
  • Eagles Downed By Panthers.
  • The New Windsor Eagles Division 2 were almost shutdown during a nearly stalemated game that was determined by only a few critical plays. Contrary to last year's air-fest, this year's rematch was a ground battle that the Eagles just could just not match up to during the first half. Each team went four and out nearly the entire first half, but the Panthers opened it up late in the second quarter on third and long when they scored on a 59-yard TD pass that would prove to haunt the Eagles the rest of the game.
  • Each team controlled the ball much better in the second half as they each wore down the others defense. The Panthers mounted an 8 play 60-yard drive to make it 13-0. The Eagles answered back with an 11 play 60-yard drive that fell just short of scoring. The drive displayed the toughness of the Eagle backs, Jaime Estrada, Alex Hansen, Markell Jones and Jimmy May, as they each laid it all on the line by breaking tackles and making critical first downs.
  • The Eagle Defense, led by May (4 Tackles), Justin Fowler (3.5 Tackles), Tyler Anderson, Julian Bell, Robert Griffin, Caylin Maldonado, Vincent Maldonado, Christopher Placek, Ramon Rodriguez, Tanner Scheible, Kevin Schotsch and Brent Ulrich, held the Panthers deep in their own zone and got the ball back to their offense on the Panther's 15-yard line. The Eagle Defense produced 13 team tackles, several loose balls and a fumble recovery by Estrada. Stimulated by the Offensive Backs on the prior drive, the Offensive Line, Uriah Clarke, Brian Henricksen, Raymond Maeang, Patrick Mullins, Xavier Tinsley, Gabriel Toro and Kevin Wood, stepped it up a notch and drove running back Hansen home in 2 plays for the TD and also tacked on the extra point. With only a few minutes left, the Panthers tactically drove the Eagle Defense for a critical first down where they then could take a knee and run the clock out for a final score 13-7. Brandon Vanleeuwen, injured, continued to support the team the best he could throughout the game, he should return next game.
  • The Eagles would like to thank the support of their families, friends, fans and cheerleading crew, led this week by Mackenzie Bousche, Margaret DiCeare, Alexis Lamantia and Julie Rolfs. The team looks forward to everyone's support as they get pumped up to face the undefeated and 2004 Superbowl Champ MV Green in rematch game from last year that bumped them out of the playoffs in the first round. The Division 2 Eagles next game is at Minisink Valley, this Sunday, September 18th, at 1:00 pm.

050904 New Windsor vs Pinebush Gold
  • The New Windsor Eagles Division 2 Shutout Pinebush During Season Opener.
  • Division 2 Eagles shutdown Pinebush's Offense (19-0) on Sunday, September 4th, for their first game of the year. The Defense, led by the Linebacking crew of Ramon Rodriguez (4.5 Tackles, Fumble Recovery), Brent Ulrich (3 Tackles), Uriah Clarke (2 Tackles), Justin Fowler (2 Tackles) and Brain Hendricksen was simply overwhelming for the Pinebush Offense. The mixture of the multi-look Eagle Defense proved to be lethal when combined with the efforts of the Defensive Line, Xavier Tinsley (Sack and Fumble Recovery), Vincent Maldonado (2.5 Tackles), Gabriel Toro (Sack) and Tyler Anderson, Kevin Wood, Tanner Scheible, Raymond Maeang, Caylin Maldonado and Julian Bell; and the Defensive Backfield; Jimmy May (5.5 Tackles), Alex Hansen (3 Tackles), Jamie Estrada, Markell Jones, Kevin Scotsch, Chris Placek and Robert Griffin. The Eagle Defense was well tested by the strong Pinebush Offense; in 38 attempts, they only gave up three first downs and just over 80 yards. Click to Enlarge...
  • The Offense, at the helm of Jimmy May, struggled a little on their first two drives, but great punting from Fowler and fumble recoveries from Rodriguez and Tinsley kept backing up Pinebush to setup their first score of the year with a powerful Kevin Wood 6-yard run. Sensing the need to get more points on the board, the Offensive Line, Pat Mullins, Maeang, Fowler, Anderson, Clarke, Tinsley, Toro, Hendricksen and Rodriguez, stepped it up a notch by generating 2 touchdowns on their next two drives to start out the second half. On a sprint out option, May scored on a 54-yard run down the sideline, Clarke added on the extra point as he went in untouched. On the next drive, May tacked on another TD with a 30-yard bootleg. Brandon Vanleeuwen, injured, also did all he could from the sideline to help his team. Click to Enlarge...
  • The Eagles were pumped up by a strong opening day turnout from family and friends. Senator Larkin, Supervisor Meyers, NFA Head Coach Chatham were also present for a moving ceremony in which the Eagle's honored one of their own by dedicating the season and retiring Jersey #16 in honor of the late U.S. Marine Corporal Joseph S. Tremblay. Emily Bonnabeau, Christina Compasso, Gianna Papa, Rebecca Pierri, and Alysa Zarate led the Cheerleaders and kept the crowd and team going all day. The Division 2 Eagles go on the road this weekend to Wallkill High School to take on the undefeated and powerful Wallkill Panther Pride on Sunday, September 11, at 1:00 pm.
