061029 New Windsor vs Valley Central Vikings
  • New Windsor D2 Co-Champs.
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) finished off their regular season on Sunday October 29th with a victory and a share of the OCYFL Division II Western Conference Crown. They turned in a strong effort against the Valley Central Vikings winning 30-0 and improving their record to 7-1. The victory also put them into the playoffs.
  • The Eagle defense held the Viking Offense in check all night. Defensive tackles Shaheim Hill, and Raymond Maeang, and Cornerback Markell Jones lead the Eagle defense with several outstanding tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebackers, Uriah Clarke, Brent Ulrich, and Kevin Wood, Nose Tackles Matt Woods, and Vincent Maldonado, and Defensive Tackles, Reggie Donaldson, Brandon Negron, Chris Baines and Sean Foschini. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Nico Valeri, Gabe Toro and Steven Schlett, and Defensive Ends, JT Whritner, Ryan Alphonse, Julian Bell and Xavier Tinsley. Safeties John Townsell (interception) and JP Skivington prevented long Offensive plays by the Vikings.
  • On their first offensive possession, the Eagles mounted a scoring drive marching 65 yards in 11 plays. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the time consuming drive. Skivington, Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfbacks JT Whritner and Nico Valeri had key runs on the drive. Valeri pounded the ball into the End Zone from the one-yard line for a touchdown giving the Eagle a 6-0 lead.
  • On the Eagles next possession they took over at the Viking 42 yard line thanks to the defense and drive those 42 yards in 8 plays. Clarke smashed it in from a yard out and Ryan Alphonse split the upright for a 14-0 Eagle lead.
  • After some additional great defense the Eagle took over at their 45 and struck quickly this time going 55 yards in just 4 plays. Clarke opened the drive with a brilliant 32 burst up the middle than, after two positive runs by Valeri and Whritner, Skivington outran the Viking defense for a 14-yard touchdown. Alphonse’ kick was again perfect giving the Eagles a 22-0 lead going into halftime,
  • On the Eagle second possession of the second half Sean Foschini took over at Quarterback and drove the Eagles 51 yards in 10 plays. Ryan Alphonse, Kevin Woods, Raymond Maeang, Markell Jones, Reggie Donaldson and Shaheim Hill all had positive gains on the drive. Hill had two key runs on the drive including a great run for 10 yards on 4th and 6. Reggie Donaldson ran through the Viking defense from the 4-yard line for a touchdown and Alphonse converted for a 30-0 lead.
  • Opening holes for the Eagle running backs with outstanding blocks were Guards Reggie Donaldson, Ryan Alphonse, and Matt Wood, Tackles Shaheim Hill, Kevin Wood, Chris Baines, Brandon Negron and Vincent Maldonado and Ends, Xavier Tinsley, Julian Bell, and Steven Schlett. 061022 New Windsor vs Middletown Bears
  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Upended.
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday October 22nd. They turned in game effort against the tough Middletown Bears but came up short and suffered a 20-8 loss putting their record at 6-1 with one regular season game left.
  • The Eagle defense battled the strong Bears Offense all day but yielded long scoring drives in the second, third and forth quarters. Defensive End Saheim Hill, Defensive Tackles Reggie Donaldson and Raymond Maeang, and Cornerback Markell Jones lead the Eagle defense with several outstanding tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebackers, Uriah Clarke (interception) Brent Ulrich, and Kevin Wood, Nose Tackles Matt Woods, and Vincent Maldonado, and Defensive Tackles, Chris Baines and Sean Foschini. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Gabe Toro and Steven Schlett, and Defensive Ends, JT Whritner (fumble recovery), and Xavier Tinsley. Safeties John Townsell (interception) and JP Skivington prevented long Offensive plays by the Bears.
  • On their first offensive possession after falling behind 6-0, the Eagles mounted a scoring drive marching 65 yards in 9 plays. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the time consuming drive. Skivington, Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfback Nico Valeri had key runs on the drive and JP connected with End John Townsell with a 25 yards pass for a first down. Skivington sprinted into the End Zone from the six-yard line for a touchdown and Ryan Alphonse's kick was perfect, giving the Eagle an 8-6 lead. Neither team could mount a scoring drive for the rest of the first half so the Eagles took their 8-6 lead into halftime.
  • The Eagles mounted a number of second half drives but could not score against the rough Bears defense. Skivington was 6-7 passing on the day and receivers JT Whritner, Kevin Woods, Saheim Hill, John Townsell and Uriah Clarke made some outstanding catches.

A victory will give the Eagles a share of the Conference Championship and put them in the playoffs.

  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Remain Unbeaten.
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways in Minisink on Sunday October 15th. They turned in another strong effort against the Minisink Green Warriors and posted a 26-0 victory improving their record to 6-0.
  • The Eagle defense was outstanding, keeping the Warrior Offense out of the End Zone all day. Inside Linebackers Uriah Clarke (two interceptions) and Kevin Wood, Defensive End Shahiem Hill (blocked punt), Defensive Tackles Reggie Donaldson and Ryan Alphonse, and Cornerback Markell Jones lead the strong Eagle defense with several devastating tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebackers, Nico Valeri, and Brent Ulrich, Nose Tackles Raymond Maeang (Fumble Recovery), Matt Woods, and Vincent Maldonado, and Defensive Tackles, Chris Baines and Brandon Negro.   • On their first offensive possession of the game the Eagles mounted a scoring drive marching 56 yards in 13 plays. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the time consuming drive. Skivington, Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfbacks Nico Valeri and JT Whritner had key runs on the drive. Skivington sprinted into the End Zone from the 9-yard line for a touchdown and a 6-0 Eagle lead. Neither team could mount a scoring drive for the rest of the first half so the Eagles took their 6-0 lead into halftime.
  • The Eagles open the second half by driving the ball 65 yards in 17 plays. After a number of exceptional runs by Clarke, Valeri, and Whritner, Skivington hit John Townsell for with a 11 yard touchdown pass, making the score 12-0 early in the third quarter.
  • The Eagles next possession started late in the third quarter from the Minisink 35-yard line thanks to great New Windsor Defense. After positive gains by Clarke, Whritner and Valeri, Clarke busted several tackles during an outstanding run for a 12-yard touchdown.   • On the Eagles next possession the Eagles took over at the Warrior 44 yard line. Sean Foschini took over a Quarterback and directed a seven play scoring drive. Fullbacks Ryan Alphonse, Raymond Maeang, and Reggie Donaldson, and Halfbacks Kevin Wood and Gabe Toro pounded the ball down to the one yard line. From there Maeang exploded into the Minisink End Zone ending the scoring for the day and giving the Eagles a 26-0 lead.

  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Soar in Cornwall.
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) returned to action and continued their winning ways in Cornwall on Sunday October 8th. They turned in another strong effort against the Cornwall Silver Dragons and posted a 30-6 victory.
  • The Eagle defense was very good, shutting down the Dragon Offense most of the day. Inside Linebackers Uriah Clarke and Kevin Wood, Monster Linebacker Shahiem Hill, Nose Tackle Brent Ulrich, and Cornerback Markell Jones lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebacker, Nico Valeri, Nose Tackles Matt Woods, and Vincent Maldonado, and Defensive Tackles, Reggie Donaldson, Raymond Maeang and Sean Foschini, Chris Baines and Brandon Negro.   • On their first possession of the game the Eagles mounted a scoring drive marching 30 yards in 8 plays. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the time consuming drive. Skivington, Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfbacks Nico Valeri and JT Whritner had key runs on the drive. Valeri burst into the End Zone from the two-yard line for a touchdown and a 6-0 Eagle lead.
  • On the Eagles second possession the Eagles took over at their own 29-yard line. After a number of exceptional runs by Clarke, Valeri, and Whritner, Skivington hit Townsell for with a 45-yard touchdown pass. Ryan Alphonse split the upright making the score 14-0 early in the second quarter.
  • The Eagles next possession started late in the second quarter from the Cornwall 44 yard line thanks to great New Windsor Defense. After two plays went no where, Skivington busted several tackles during an outstanding run for a 44 yard touchdown. Alphonse made his third extra point kick of the day for a 30-0 Eagle lead. Late in the fourth quarter the game Dragons got on the score board with a touchdown pass that made the score 30-6 which ended the scoring for the day.

  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways in Warwick at Veteran’s Memorial Field on Sunday September 24. They turned in another strong effort against the very tough previously unbeaten Warwick Gold Warriors and posted an 18-0 victory.
  • The Eagle defense was Exceptional, shutting down the Warrior Offense all day. Inside Linebacker Kevin Wood, Monster Linebacker Brent Ulrich, Nose Tackle Raymond Maeang, Defensive End Shaheim Hill and Cornerback Markell Jones lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebackers, Uriah Clarke (Interception) and Nico Valeri, Nose Tackle Vincent Maldonado, and Defensive Tackles, Reggie Donaldson, Steven Schlett, and Sean Foschini, Chris Baines and Brandon Negro.   • Both teams battled back and forth unable to score until midway through the second quarter. Then the Eagles mounted a scoring drive marching 50 yards in 10 plays. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the time consuming drive. Skivington, Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfbacks Nico Valeri and JT Whritner had key runs on the drive. Skivington hit End John Townsell in stride and he sprinted to the End Zone for a 24-yard touchdown reception and a 6-0 Eagle lead. Each team had drives stall the rest of the half so the score remained 6-0 at half time.
  • On the Eagles second possession of the third quarter their defense gave the offense great field position at the Warrior 40 yard line. After a pair of exceptional runs by Nico Valeri, Skivington hit Townsell again for another 24-yard touchdown pass. This made the score 12-0 late in the third quarter.

  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways at Mt. Airy Sports Complex on Sunday September 17. They turned in another strong effort in a defensive struggle against the very tough Cornwall White Dragons and posted a 6-0 victory in the fifth overtime period.
  • The Eagle defense was Exceptional, shutting down the Dragon Offense all day. Inside Linebacker Uriah Clarke (Interception and forced fumble), Defensive Tackles Ryan Alphonse, and Reggie Donaldson, and Cornerbacks Markell Jones and Gabe Toro lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebackers Kevin Woods, and Nico Valeri, Monster Linebackers Brent Ulrich and JT Whritner, Nose Tackle Raymond Maeang and Defensive Tackles Matt Woods, and Brandon Negro.   • The Eagles scored the only touchdown of the day in the fifth overtime. The two team’s battled back and forth for four quarters and four scoreless overtime periods before the game would be decided. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the scoring drive that went 10 yards in 4 plays. Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfback Nico Valeri had key runs on the drive. Clarke burst into the end zone for the touchdown from three yards out which put the Eagles ahead 6-0.
  • The Dragons still had a chance to tie or win the game with the ball starting at the Eagle 10 yard line but after a long gain on first down the Eagles stopped the Dragons cold on the next three plays to win the hard fought contest.
  • The Eagles got a big lift in the second overtime when Clarke forced a Dragon fumble at the Eagle one yard line with an incredible hit.   • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways in Marlboro at Marlboro High School on Sunday September 10. They turned in another strong effort against the Marlboro Dukes and posted a 22-0 victory.
  • The Eagle defense was Exceptional, shutting down the Dukes Offense all day. Inside Linebacker Uriah Clarke, Defensive Tackles Raymond Maeang, and Reggie Donaldson, and Defensive End Saheim Hill and Cornerback Gabe Toro lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles.   • The Eagles scored on their opening drive marching 60 yards in 10 plays. Quarterback "JP" Skivington directed the time consuming drive. Skivington, Fullback Uriah Clarke and Halfbacks Nico Valeri and JT Whritner had a key runs on the drive. Clarke burst into the end zone for the touchdown from four yards out. Skivington hit Whritner in the End Zone with an extra point completion for a 7-0 Eagle lead. After the tough Eagle Defense stopped Marlboro cold on three plays twice, Skivington directed another scoring drive this time 58 yards in 10 plays. Halfback John Townsell finished off the drive by sprinting 31 to the End Zone for a Touchdown. Skivington then passed to Whritner again for 14-0 New Windsor lead. The Eagle defense then pushed the Dukes back towards their own end zone then Uriah Clarke broke through and tackled a Marlboro runner for a safety and a 16-0 Eagle lead.   • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) opened their 2006 Football season at Mt. Airy Sports Complex on Sunday September 3. They turned in a strong effort against the Monticello Panthers and posted a 34-6 victory.
  • The Eagle defense was Outstanding, shutting down the Panther Offense all day. Inside Linebacker Uriah Clarke, Defensive Tackle Reggie Donaldson, and Defensive Ends JP Skivington and Xavier Tinsley lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Inside Linebackers Kevin Woods, and Nico Valeri, Monster Linebacker Brent Ulrich, Nose Tackles Ryan Maeang and Angelo Brooks, and Defensive Tackles Matt Woods, Chris Baines and Brandon Negro.   • Monticello opened the scoring after the Eagles first drive stalled by returning a punt 50 yards for a touchdown and a 6-0 lead. The Eagle answered right back. Quarterback "JP" Skivington started the scoring for the Eagles when he capped off a 5 play 65 yard opening drive by New Windsor with a 21 yard touchdown run. Halfback Nico Valeri had a key 25 run for a first down on the drive. Skivington hit Halfback JT Whritner in the End Zone with an extra point completion for a 7-0 Eagle lead. After the tough Eagle Defense stopped Monticello cold on three plays, Skivington directed another scoring drive this time 59 yards in 6 plays. Fullback Uriah Clarke finished off the drive by bursting into the End Zone for a Touchdown. Skivington then passed to Whritner again for 14-0 New Windsor lead. After each team had drives stall, the Eagles got on the board again just before the end of the half. Skivington busted into the end zone capping a 6 play 20 yard drive. It was JP to JT again for the extra point to make the score 21-6 at half time.
  • The Eagles got a big lift early in the third quarter when Punt Returner John Townsell returned a punt 40 yards to the Monticello 8 yard line. Skivington then out ran the Panther defense for his third touchdown of the day to make the tally 27-6.
  • The Eagle Defense stopped the Panthers on their next possession and took over at the Monticello 42 yard line. Sean Foschini took over at QB and directed a 42 yard 5 play drive that ended the scoring for the day. Fullback Ryan Alphonse, and Halfbacks, John Townsell, and Angelo Brooks all had runs for gains on the drive. Alphonse ended the drive with a terrific tackle busting run for a 20 yard touchdown. The D2 Eagles next game is Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Marlboro High School 3pm.
