071028 New Windsor vs Minisink Valley Black Warriors
  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Win Playoff Spot
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways on Sunday October 28th. They turned in a relentless effort against the Minisink Valley Black Warriors and came away with a 12-0 victory, a Playoff Spot and improved their record to 7-1.
  • The Eagle defense played wonderfully, holding the Warrior Offense Scoreless. Linebackers Dylan Cassisi, Ryan Alphonse and Matt Skowronski, Nose Tackle Nico Valeri, Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario, and Reggie Donaldson (fumble recovery), and Defensive End Jordan Keyes lead the Eagle defense making several tackles each. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebacker Nick Iannolo, and Nose Tackle Nat Morales. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Steven Schlett, and Sean Foschini, and Defensive End JT Whritner. JP Skivington came up with two interceptions and several touchdown saving tackles playing an outstanding game at safety.
  • The entire first half was a defensive battle, with neither team able to get on the scoreboard. Just before the half, Monster Linebacker Dylan Cassisi made a great play in the Warrior backfield on a 2nd and goal from the Eagle one-yard line. He burst through the Minisink line and tackled their running back for a four-yard loss. This gave the Eagle a little breathing room and they were able to stop the next to plays and took over on downs at their own 2 yard line. They ran out the clock and the half ended in a 0-0 tie.
  • The Eagle offensive came out for their second drive of the second half and faced a third and six. QB JP Skivington took the ball himself and rumbled 41 yards for an astounding touchdown run. Halfbacks Nico Valeri and Jordan Keyes had positive carries on the quick scoring drive.
  • Later in the fourth quarter the Eagles drove down to the Warrior 3 yard line but a penalty set them back and they turned the ball over twice on downs before they would score again. After taking over on downs at the Warrior one-yard line Skivington snuck the ball in for a 12-0 Eagle lead.
  • Fullbacks Ryan Alphonse, Matt Skowronski, Gio Marrero, Sean Foschini, Eric Rosario, Reggie Donaldson and Halfbacks JT Whritner, Dylan Cassisi, Stephen Schlett, and Kobie Thomas made other positive runs during the game. Opening holes for the backs with terrific blocks were Guards Reggie Donaldson, Eric Rosario, Victor Domingues, and Chris Mattone, Tackles Isaac Serrano, Nick Iannolo, Alex Justi, Steven Schuyler, and Nat Morales and Ends Adrien Morales, Nick Delarosa, Tyler Skivington, and Clay Deets. 071021 New Windsor vs Marlboro Dukes
  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Soar in Marlboro
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways on Sunday October 21st. They turned in explosive effort against the Marlboro Dukes and came away with a 41-0 victory, improving their record to 7-1.
  • The Eagle defense played superbly, holding the Duke Offense Scoreless. Linebackers Dylan Cassisi (Interception) and Matt Skowronski, Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario (QB Sack), and Reggie Donaldson, and Defensive End Jordan Keyes (fumble recovery) lead the Eagle defense making several tackles each. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Ryan Alphonse Gio Marrero, and Nick Iannolo, and Nose Tackles Nico Valeri and Nat Morales. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Steven Schlett, Alex Justi, Ian Mullarkey and Sean Foschini, and Defensive Ends JT Whritner (QB Sack), Adrian Morales & Nick Delarosa. JP Skivington came up with two touchdown saving tackles playing safety.
  • The Eagles started their first scoring march after the defense stuffed a fourth and short attempt by the Dukes. They drove the 44 yards to the end zone in 5 plays. Fullback Alphonse and Halfbacks Nico Valeri, and Jeff Whritner had positive yardage carries on the drive. Valeri powered the ball in for the touchdown from the 6 yard line making the score 6-0.
  • The Eagles struck even quicker on their next possession. Halfback Jordan Keyes took a hand off at his own 48-yard line and went on a brilliant 52-yard touchdown scamper for the score. Alphonse kicked the conversion for a 14-0 Eagle lead.
  • Keyes than recovered a fumble at the Marlboro 33-yard line and the Eagle were in business again. Halfback Dylan Cassisi and Fullback Matt Skowronski had strong runs getting the ball down to the Dukes 11 yard line. QB JP Skivington than out ran the Dukes defense for an 11-yard touchdown. Alphonse’s kick was perfect making the score 22-0.
  • The Dukes drove down to the Eagle 20 yard line just prior to halftime before their drive stalled out. The Eagle took over and Halfback Steven Schlett broke free for a dazzling 80-yard dash to the end zone and a 28-0 halftime lead.
  • The Eagle offensive came out for their second drive of the second half and faced a fourth and 13. Halfback Kobie Thomas took the hand off and dashed 62 yards for a sparkling touchdown run. QB Gio Marrero than threw to tight end Tyler Skivington who made a nice catch for the extra point and a 35-0 lead.
  • Later in the fourth quarter the Eagles drove 48 yards in 5 plays. Fullbacks Eric Rosario, Reggie Donaldson and Gio Marrero had positive carries on the drive. QB Sean Foschini carried several Duke Defenders into the end zone from the 4-yard line for a touchdown to cap off the New Windsor scoring for the day.

071007 New Windsor vs Warwick Warriors
  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Rebound Against Vikings
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) returned to their winning ways on Sunday October 7th. They turned in a good team effort against the Valley Central Vikings and came away with a 22-0 victory, making their record to 5-1.
  • The Eagle defense played well, holding the Viking Offense Scoreless. Linebacker Dylan Cassisi, Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario, and Reggie Donaldson, and Defensive End JT Whritner lead the Eagle defense making several tackles each. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Ryan Alphonse (two Fumble Recoveries), Matt Skowronski (interception), Gio Marrero and Nick Iannolo, and Nose Tackles, Alex Justi and Nat Morales. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Steven Schlett, and Sean Foschini, and Defensive Ends Jordan Keyes & Nick Delarosa. JP Skivington came up with two big defensive plays; a blocked punt from his Defensive End position and an interception when playing safety.
  • The Eagles started their first scoring march after a Ryan Alphonse fumble recovery at the Viking 46 yard line. They drove the 46 yards to the end zone in 9 plays. Fullback Alphonse and Halfbacks Dylan Cassisi, Jordan Keyes had positive yardage carries on the drive. Fullback Matt Skowronski powered the ball in for the touchdown from the 2-yard line. Alphonse made the conversion kick making the score 8-0. The two teams battled back and forth throughout the remainder of the first half without scoring and the Eagles took the 8-0 lead into halftime.
  • The Viking offensive came out for the second half and on their third play Alphonse recovered another Viking fumble this time at the Viking 29 yard line. Strong Runs by Alphonse, Cassisi, Skowronski and Whritner got the ball down to the one-yard line. Quarterback JP Skivington than pushed his way into the end zone for the touchdown. Alphonse’s kick was perfect making the score 16-0 Eagles.
  • Later in the third quarter Eagles Safety JP Skivington intercepted a Viking a Pass attempt and returned it 45 yards for a touchdown to cap off the New Windsor scoring for the day.
  • Making other strong runs and pass receptions during the game were Halfbacks, Stephen Schlett and Kobie Thomas, Fullback Alexi Justi and Quarterback Sean Foschini.   • New Windsor D2 Eagles Grounded by Warwick
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) suffered their first lost of the season on Sunday September 30. They turned in a valiant effort against the powerful Warwick Warriors but were shutdown 14-0, making their record to 4-1.
  • The Eagle defense played well, holding the high scoring Warrior Offense to just two touchdowns. Linebackers Dylan Cassisi, Ryan Alphonse and Matt Skowronski, Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario, and Reggie Donaldson, Nose Tackle Nico Valeri, and Defensive End Jordan Keyes lead the Eagle defense with making several tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Nick Iannolo, Nose Tackles, Nat Morales and Steven Schuyler, and Defensive Tackle Isaac Serrano. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Steven Schlett, and Sean Foschini, and Defensive Ends Gio Marrero & JP Skivington.
  • The two teams battled back and forth throughout the first half without scoring until a Warrior receiver got behind the Eagle secondary on a halfback option and scored on a long touchdown pass. They added the extra point for a 7-0 lead that they took into halftime.
  • The Eagles came out for the second half and drove the ball inside Warrior territory, but a holding penalty on third down after J P Skivington had made an apparent key first down, stalled out the drive.
  • Later in the third quarter the Warriors halfback got around the corner on the Eagle defense and scored Warwick’s second and final touchdown they added the extra point for a 14-0 lead. Neither team was able to move the ball effectively in the fourth quarter.

  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Fly Past Cougars
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways in New Windsor on Sunday September 23. They turned in a fine effort against the Chester Cougars and posted a 35-6 victory, improving their record to 4-0.
  • The Eagle defense was very good, shutting down the Cougar Offense most of the day. Linebackers Dylan Cassisi, Ryan Alphonse and Matt Skowronski, Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario, and Reggie Donaldson, Nose Tackle Nico Valeri, and Defensive End Jordan Keyes lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Nick Iannolo, Giovanni Marrero and Kobie Thomas, Nose Tackles, Max McKeever, Nat Morales and Steven Schuyler, and Defensive Tackles, Victor Domingues, Chris Mattone, Clay Deets and Isaac Serrano. Supplying outside support were Cornerbacks Steven Schlett, Sean Foschini, Ian Mullarkey and Alex Justi and Defensive Ends Tyler & JP Skivington, and Jerome McKeever.   • The Cougars first drive of the game was stopped cold by the strong New Windsor defense when Rosario and Whritner combined to sack the Chester punter for an 8-yard loss. The Eagles then started their first scoring drive at the Cougar 34 yard line. They drove the ball quickly down the field and scored in 5 plays. Positive runs by Fullback Ryan Alphonse, and Halfbacks Nico Valeri, and JT Whritner got the ball down to the Chester 1 yard line. Whritner then powered the ball into the end zone for the touchdown. Alphonse than kicked the extra point for a 8-0 Eagle lead.
  • On the Eagles next possession they marched 51 yards in 12 plays with Halfbacks Dylan Cassisi plowing into the end zone from the one-yard line. Fullback Matt Skowronski, Halfback Jordan Keyes and Quarterback J P Skivington had strong runs on the drive that made the score 14-0.
  • On their next possession The Eagle defense again gave the offense good field position and the Eagles scored on just 6 plays. After positive carries by Alphonse and Skivington, Keyes outran the Cougar defense on a brilliant 30-yard touchdown run. Alphonse’s kick was perfect for the conversion and the Eagles lead 22-0.
  • On the Cougars third play of their next drive their tailback broke away from the Eagle defense for a 57 yard touchdown that made the score 22-6 at halftime.
  • The Eagles came out for the second half and drove the ball 65 yards in 5 plays. Alphonse, Valeri, Whritner, and Cassisi all had positive carries on the drive. Skowronski powered his way through the Giant defense from the 1-yard line for the touchdown. Alphonse’s kick was true to make the tally 30-6.
  • After having a drive stall, the Eagles got the ball again scoring quickly. Halfback Steve Schlett got the ball at the Cougar 31 yard and after it looked like he was stopped for a short gain he broke free of several would be Chester tacklers, with the aide of a key block of two Cougars by Fullback Sean Foschini and raced the 31 yards for a touchdown. He ended the scoring for the day making it 35-6.

  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) continued their winning ways in Newburgh on Sunday September 16. They turned in a good effort against the Newburgh Giants and posted a 19-0 victory, improving their record to 3-0.
  • The Eagle defense was brilliant, shutting down the Giant Offense all day. Linebackers Dylan Cassisi (fumble recovery) and Matt Skowronski (fumble recovery), Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario, and Reggie Donaldson and Defensive Ends JP Skivington (fumble recovery) and Jordan Keyes lead the strong Eagle defense with several overwhelming tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Nico Valeri, Nick Iannolo, and Kobie Thomas, Nose Tackles, Giovanni Marrero (fumble recovery), Max McKeever, Nat Morales and Steven Schuyler, and Defensive Tackles, Victor Domingues, Chris Mattone, Clay Deets and Isaac Serrano. They drove the ball down the field 57 yards and scored in 11 plays. Positive runs by Fullback Matt Skowronski, Halfbacks Nico Valeri, Jordan Keyes, Dylan Cassisi and JT Whritner and Quarterback JP Skivington got the ball down to the Newburgh 7 yard line. Skivington then out ran the Giants for a 7-yard touchdown. Skivington threw to Keyes for the extra point and a 7-0 Eagle lead.
  • Both teams’ defenses played outstanding for the remainder of the half and the score remained 7-0 at half time.
  • The Eagles came out for the second half and drove the ball 65 yards in 13 plays. Skowronski, Valeri, Skivington, Cassisi and Keyes all had positive carries on the drive. Skivington powered his way through the Giant defense from the 2-yard line for the touchdown to make the tally 13-0.
  • On the Giants next possession the Eagles defense stood tall again and took over at the Eagle 29 yard line. After three short gains and a first down, Keyes broke away for a brilliant 60-yard touchdown dash. Keyes touchdown made the score 19-0 and ended the scoring for the day.

  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) opened their 2007 Football Home season at Mt. Airy Sports Complex in Windsor on Sunday September 9. They turned in a strong effort against the Minisink Valley Warriors and posted a 22-0 victory, improving their record to 2-0.
  • The Eagle defense was exceptional, shutting down the Warrior Offense all day. Linebackers Dylan Cassisi (fumble recovery) and Matt Skowronski, Defensive Tackles Eric Rosario, and Reggie Donaldson (2 fumble recoveries) and Defensive Ends JP Skivington and Jordan Keyes lead the strong Eagle defense with several devastating tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Ryan Alphonse, Nick Iannolo, Giovanni Marrero and Kobie Thomas, Nose Tackles Nico Valeri, Max McKeever and Steven Schuyler, and Defensive Tackles, Victor Domingues, Chris Mattone, Clay Deets and Isaac Serrano. The Eagles then started their first drive at the Warrior 39 yard line. They drove the ball down the field quickly scoring in just 5 plays. Positive runs by Fullback Ryan Alphonse, Halfbacks Nico Valeri and JT Whritner and Quarterback JP Skivington got the ball down to the Minisink 18 yard line. Halfback Jordan Keyes then out ran the Warriors for an 18 yard touchdown and a 6-0 lead.

  • New Windsor D2 Eagles Win Opener
  • The New Windsor Division II Eagles (10 and 11 year olds) opened their 2007 Football season at Watts Park in Middletown on Sunday September 2. They turned in a strong effort against the Middletown Bears and posted a 29-0 victory.
  • The Eagle defense was Outstanding, shutting down the Bear Offense all day. Linebacker Dylan Cassisi (interception), Defensive Tackle Eric Rosario, and Defensive Ends JP Skivington and Jordan Keyes lead the strong Eagle defense with several crushing tackles. Giving them support on the interior of the line was Linebackers Ryan Alphonse, Matt Skowronski, Nick Iannolo, Giovanni Marrero and Kobie Thomas, Nose Tackles Nico Valeri, Nate Morales and Steven Schuyler, and Defensive Tackles Reggie Donaldson, Victor Domingues, Chris Mattone, and Isaac Serrano.   • The Bears first drive was stopped when Tackle Eric Rosario recovered a fumble at the Middletown 28 yard line on the first play of the game. On the Eagles second offensive play Halfback Nico Valeri out ran the Bear defense for a 24 yard touchdown and a 6-0 lead. The Eagles defense came up big again on the Bears next drive when Linebacker Ryan Alphonse recovered another Bear fumble this time at the Middletown 27 yard line. Quarterback “JP” Skivington directed the scoring drive for the Eagles which halfback Jordan Keyes capped off with an 8 yard sprint into the end zone. The 4 play 27 yard drive by New Windsor was highlighted by keys runs by Halfback JT Whritner and fullback Matt Skowronski. Ryan Alphonse kicked the extra point for a 14-0 Eagle lead. After the tough Eagle Defense stopped Middletown cold on four plays, Skivington directed another scoring drive this time 30 yards in 5 plays. Fullback Ryan Alphonse finished off the drive by bursting into the End Zone for a Touchdown. J. Skivington had an outstanding 19 yard run on the drive. Alphonse again converted his kick attempt for a 22-0 New Windsor lead. Both teams had drives stall, and the score remained 22-0 at half time.
  • The Eagles came out for the second half and drove the ball 65 yards in 6 plays. Alphonse, Whritner, Valeri, Skivington and Keyes all had positive carries on the drive. Halfback Dylan Cassisi darted his way through the Bears defense from the 5 yard line for the final touchdown of the day. Opening holes for the backs with terrific blocks were Guards Reggie Donaldson, and Eric Rosario, Victor Domingues, Chris Mattone, Tackles Isaac Serrano, Nick Iannolo, Alex Justi, Steven Schuyler, and Nate Morales and Ends Adrien Morales, Dylan Cassisi, Tyler Skivington and Clay Deets. Centers Oliver Janvier, and Ian Mullarkey did an outstanding job snapping the ball all game getting the Eagle offense started.
